I believe we've survived the night. It's going to be a busy day for me (every day is), so I won't be around much.
I figured I'd just start off a thread quick.
Night 2 Results:
Grunt's Ghosts - Nandi, Spacer, Voted out
chamberlain - Shepherd Book, Spacer, Shot
kime - Lucy, Reaver, Killed while resisting arrest
Virgil_Leads_You - Tracey, Mason, Brought in for questioning *UPDATED*

So the good news is, the Misbehave check was fairly easy (1d6 + 5 vs 8 = 66% chance of success)... the bad news is we still failed it. Jdark says we need two successful checks in a row to complete the job, so we accomplished nothing. Well, that's not entirely true. There's now a warrant for my arrest! ...The SS Tortuga's maiden voyage continues to be a rocky one.

Any thoughts on what we should do next? I don't like just giving up on this job, but we've only got a ~44% chance of successfully misbehaving twice in a row. Assuming this game lasts about 10 days, $15000 is looking more and more like an unreachable target. We could try to do some quick jobs for pocket change, or we could start in on the bounty hunting and hope we're lucky.

How many jobs can we attempt per night?
Perhaps it makes sense to take on a high paying job where we can hire some NPCs to get us through it?

I think the maximum number of jobs that can be completed in a day is still 3. You can take on 2, but you have to dump jobs till you have only 3 by the end of the day.
Persevering with the job one more night seems like a good bet, since we're already here. But we can put in orders to do the job, then move to another system and do another job, right? That way, if it fails, we're not stuck here with it.

No, we can only do one Work action a day. If there were multiple jobs on the same location, we could advance them all, but working on the Aphrodite job means not working on any non-Aphrodite jobs.

The job discrider just dumped looks great for us:
Contact: Badger Name: Bilking the Yokels Type: Legal Needs: none Shipping: Load 2 Cargo on Albion, White Sun. Deliver 2 Cargo to Brisingamen, Himinbjorg. Wheel & Deal to Get Paid. Difficulty 6 Negotiate Skill Test. 1-3, -$500. 4-5, +$0. 6+, +$500 Payout: $1500 Bonus: Grifter (+$500)
We've got the grifter bonus and a guaranteed success on the Negotiate, so we're looking at a nice $2500. I think instead of risking this current job, we should head to Albion tonight and pick up the passengers, spend tomorrow moving and maybe advancing another job in White Sun, then cash in at Brisingamen the day after.

Sounds alright, we can come back to this job if we run dry elsewhere.
