The Brisginamen job paid out $2300 ($2500 minus the mandatory $200 NPC cut). Combined with what I've already given out to the both of you, we should be nearing $5000. We can't work a job today, but we can work a planet for a couple hundred, and get another $600 tomorrow night when we drop our cargo off at Ariel. $0 (my own savings, after buying the Contraband and refueling us ) + $1100 x 2 + $2300 + $200 + ($600 - $200 mandatory cut again) = $5100.
I was originally holding out for the full $15000, but Zombie Hero's actions today have brought up a new possibility: if one of you is mafia, and can verify it to me by calling a kill, we'll pool the money to get you your own retirement. It's easier than voting you out, and everybody wins. If nobody is willing to risk exposing themselves, or if we're just a trio of villagers, we'll continue spreading the money around as before.
